'Onegai Fudouson' Grant-a-wish Fudoumyouou (Buddha)


This temple, Fukagawa Fudodo is situated behind Monzen-Nakacho Subway station, and is this amazing
sacred Buddhist temple. The main ceremony is the purification by fire. There is a special 'Goma-prayer',
the Goma-fire ceremony, coming in the nine century from Tibet, getting some twists and variations.
The fantastic very isomeric solemn fire ceremony is a spectacle consisting of Buddhist chants, with drumming,
horns, chimes and the chance to purify visitor's belongings in the smoke of the fires.
With the very impressive ceremony with prayers and music, including huge drums, the Goma fire ceremony
is a true piece of Japanese Buddhist tradition.

There are prayer wheels, observed in India, Nepal and Bhutan, in the rooms of the Fudomyo-Temple.
Prayer wheels are used to accumulate and merit and purify negatives.
