Barcelona is the second-largest city in Spain, after Madrid, with a population
of 1,620,000. The urban
area of extends beyond the administrative city limits with a population
of over 4,200,000.Barcelona
is the most popular tourist attraction in Spain, with more than 5 million tourists each year. It is the
largest metropolitan area in the European Mediterranean coast.
Barcelona enjoys a Mediterranean climate. The summer's season lasts about
6 months, from May to
October, although also in November and April sometimes there is temperature
above 20 C . Winters
are mild, with average temperatures over 14.5 C during the day and 5.5 C at night in the period
December to March.

Placa d'Espanya is one of Barcelona's most important squares, built on
the occasion of the 1929
International Exhibition, held at the foot of Montjuic. Placa Espanya is also a major transport hub
that serves most parts of the Metropolitan Area of Barcelona.
The Torre Agbar tower, in which 30,000 are in offices, 3,210 in technical
facilities, 8,132 in services.
It was officially opened by the King of Spain in September, 2005 and at
a cost of 130 million euros.
Once it was finished, the Agbar Tower quickly became an architectural icon of the city of Barcelona
and one of its most famous buildings. Although initially it was not immune
to criticism from citizens
and experts who said that its characteristics did not fit into the architecture
of Barcelona. After
a while, it has become one of the symbols that universally identify the Catalan capital and is one of
its tourist attractions.

Port Vell (Old Harbour in Catalan) is a waterfront harbour in Barcelona,
Spain. It was built as part of an urban renewal program
prior to the 1992 Barcelona Olympics. Before this, it was a run-down area
of empty warehouses, railroad yards, and factories.
Now, the 16 million people visit the complex each year.
