景山公園
Jingshan Park is an imperial park covering 23 hectares (57 acres) immediately north of the Forbidden City
in the Imperial City area of Beijing. The focal point is the artificial hill Jingshan, literally "Prospect Hill"
Formerly a private imperial garden attached to the grounds of the Forbidden City. The grounds were opened
to the public in 1928. The park was formally established in 1949. It is listed as a Key State Park and is
administratively part of both Xicheng and Dongcheng districts in downtown Beijing.

明・清代の皇帝の庭園となった山で、明代に紫禁城を作ったとき、元の宮殿であった延春閣の跡地に、堀を掘った時の
残土で五つの峰を形成する形に作られた。紫禁城に殺気が入ることを防ぐために、紫禁城の真北に作られたと言われている。
これは背山面水という風水の考え方を実現したものである。民国時代に景山は公園化された。
天壇公園
The Temple of Heavens an imperial complex of religious buildings situated in the southeastern part of central
Beijing. The complex was visited by the Emperors of the Ming and Qing dynasties for annual ceremonies of
prayer to Heaven for good harvest.

天壇（abkai mukdehun）は中華人民共和国北京市東城区に位置する史跡で、明清代の皇帝が天に対して祭祀（祭天）を
行った宗教的な場所（祭壇）である。1998年よりユネスコの世界遺産に登録された。 1420年、明の永楽帝が建立した
とされる。 建設当時は天地壇と呼ばれていたが、1534年、天壇と地壇に分離、天壇と呼ばれるようになった。

北京タクシー事情
北京のタクシーを利用した時の話だ。ホテルから利用するときは、あまり問題はないが、流しのタクシーを拾うときは
苦労する。手を挙げても止まらないことも多く、必ずしもメーターで走るとは限らない。この日の女性ガイドはバスを
利用するつもりだったようだが、効率性からタクシーとした。何台かの車が前を通り過ぎたが数台目のタクシーがやっと
止まった。中国人が乗っているので、不安なく天安門近くまで乗車し、現場までは歩いた。よくニュースで見聞している
壮大な建物を目にした時、それは想像以上だった。直立不動の姿勢の中国武警は天安門前は無論、 地下道にまで配置
されていた。
景山公園を見終えて出口前の道路でタクシー待ちした。幸い、車はまもなく現れた。値段交渉して乗り込んだが、運転手
は全身入れ墨をしていたのではないか。中国マフィアではないか、乗ってから「しまった」と感じた。しかし、よく
見ると、それは精巧に印刷された入れ墨のシャツだった。このタクシーは狭い裏道を突き抜け、渋滞していたバス通り
に出たが、そこには10台ほど連なっていた。驚くことに、車は反対車線を全速力で走り、「やった！」と叫びながら
先頭車の前に割り込んだ。そこが目的地だった。料金は決めた金額で、日本語で「有難う」と言い残し素早く走り去った。
天壇公園出口付近には2台の白タクが手持無沙汰で客待ちしていた。法外な値段を請求されることが多いので、そこは
素早く通り過ごす。少し歩いて大通りでタクシーを待つが、なかなか来ない。やっと来たタクシーを追いかけて止めた。
若い運転手だったが、希望した王府井の少し手前で止めてくれた。歩行者天国となっているため、車は当然入れない。
金額はメーター通りのであったので、多少のチップを渡して降りたが、とても喜んでいた。このように、中国では日本
とでは、かなり違う点に留意する必要がある。
